In other news, I think I need to pick me up the soundtrack from this game.

Slowly making progress through the game, every little play session is a treat.

I'm liking how characterful Empire City is. It certainly feels like a lived in world, the alleys, the run down streets and the general look of it hits the right notes.

One little detail that that I love is the windows. In GTA4, a shop window is nothing more than a large, flat, sticker. You can't really look into the windows in GTA4, not like you'd ever need to, but in a world so committed to "realism" this always rang false to me.

I noticed in inFamous there are windows with depth to them. You can see cafe stools, or the lamps in an apartment - and while not every single window in the game is like this, coming across them lends a greater sense of character to the city.

Finished this baby up yesterday, a really solid experience. I'd sum it up as being the type of game where the total package is satisfying, despite a collection of minor annoyances. Thoughts of weird bugs, or repetitive side missions, get washed away when I look back at the fun of it all and even a  fairly engaging story. A good game in it's own right and a good springboard for a potentially even more fantastic sequel.

I'll give the game a break for a while and then get back into it as Evil Cole.  Looks like you'll be able to cause a lot of carnage with the evil moveset.

Enjoyed the final boss fight and the seeds of a potential sequel, looking forward to seeing what Sucker Punch do next, inFamous or otherwise.

I'm almost finished the game in EVIL mode.  Actually, while I was at it, I upgraded the game difficulty to HARD right off the bat.  While it's easier to accumulate bad Karma and experience as an evil person, the HARD mode is certainly living up to it's name.  Simple one-shot villains are no longer so easily dispatched.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that I am so evil that I gain good karma for killing only a moderate amount of people per mission.

I agree with rey-o about the repetitiveness of missions.  However, sometimes I found this to be comforting in a way.  It was a good breather between the tougher missions.

You're right, even though they may have been repetitive, the side missions never really got on my nerves, nor were they boring.

I thought this game was great, but I didn't see much replay value after I had done everything (Platinum).

I can see that, Caliban.  I'm just weird.  I sometimes spend a good chunk of time trying to see how fast I can get between two points of the city.

I think that two runs (good and bad) will just about cover it for me in this game. To me, that's actually pretty good. That's more than can be said for most games I own.

Well, I just finished the game on evil and have probably arrived at my only complaint.  I thought I had done all of the stunts, but apparently it didn't register one of them.  So now, I've completed the game on good and evil, in easy/hard, and cannot get platinum without starting the game again due to the fact that the stunt I need to complete is the "push 3 enemies off a roof with shockwave" stunt.

Which is weird, because it indicated that I've done it at least twice.

No platinum for me, apparently.

I'm not that into trophies so I probably won't bother with this until much later, BUT luckily there is a place you can visit, even post-ending, which will reliably spawn three enemies for you to shockwave off.

Still, I've done the "3 enemies off a roof" a hand full of times, the game recognized it yet it didn't say 'stunt unlocked'. Happened to my bro too and I guess the only solution is that you have to do it until it registers.

Rey-O, I owe you big time.  That did the trick.  It took an hour to get everyone lined up, but I finally managed to do it.

I have 10 Blast Shards left to collect, but I'm having a pain in the ass time finding them.  I'll probably put this aside for now and move on to the pile of games waiting for me, crying...

I'm glad to hear that it worked. Most ppl agree, that stunt in particular is the toughest, but at least it's possible.

I had a lot of fun just running around town collecting shards, it might take you a little while but it isn't a huge pain. There are a number of them on the outskirts of town, like out on the shore or at the tip of a far out pier, so don't forget to check there, when you come back to the game.
