Why Did It Take So Long?

I played a co-op game last night and it was a ton of fun.  I still haven't checked out the the competitive MP, but I will hopefully be able to pull myself away from the SP to give it a try.

Single player, multiplayer, even that free little motion comic, anything Uncharted cannot help but be fun!

I'd love to dive back into the SP but I'm really caught up in MP right now. I'm a couple dollars shy of level 20, and I'm starting to feel competent in the various game modes. Co-op being my favorite, followed by plunder. We should get in a game sometime!

Here are 3 little things I love about Uncharted 2:

1- Nate's journal/sketchbook
2- swimming in the pool
3- All of Chapter 16

I could go on and on but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else walking into this thread.

I just made it up to Level 5 though (I've only played multiplayer a handful of times).  I'll try to clock some decent hours...

It'd be nice to get in some co-op with people you know won't quit! It's happened more than a few times, for whatever reason - the game just hits you with "connection error", presumably because someone quit the game. I heard Naughty Dog is on the case, trying to figure out a way to penalize quitters, would appreciate that greatly!

I'm in love with this feature, it's basically a whole other game in itself. I find myself just zoning out and spending several minutes trying to get the perfect angle, the right lighting...I guess that must be the artist in me!  It'd be great if more games had screen capturing, I'd buy em just for that, seriously!

Starting today, and on through till Monday is double your dough weekend! There's also something crazy Halloween related where everyone is a skeleton!?!? Haven't tried it myself, but it sounds crazy.

I haven't been paying too much attention to the money I make regularly in multiplayer, so I'm not noticing huge gains during this double xp weekend. Although I do have to say that I've jumped about four levels in just two play sessions, so I guess it is working!

And the whole Skelzor/Zombie thing is hilariously awesome:



You can see that the bullet hole in his head actually goes through his skull, revealing the moonlit sky behind him. Love the attention to detail in this game!

@ Jorge: Basically for the weekend of Halloween the Heroes side was Skelzor (whose skin goes for about $2,000,000 Uncharted Bucks) and the Villains played as "Dead Treasure Hunter", or the guy you see in my above post.  Additionally achieving certain objectives netted you double (some say more like 1.5) the money you would normally get.

I tried hard to maximize my time with the game this weekend, and managed to jump about 8 levels, but I was just a few shy of my goal of reaching 30. Oh well, I'm totally caught up in this game so I'll get there eventually.

I know that there are a ton of cool games coming very soon, including Dragon Age which came out today, but I think I've reached critical mass with my backlog. Basically, I just feel a kind of deep satisfaction playing just Uncharted 2. I could happily play this game for at least another month solid, and by that time we'll be deep into the holiday season, where a nice long RPG would be welcome during the chilly winter months.

Double XP Weekend returns for American Thanksgiving!!!

On top of that - two special holiday skins, Donut Drake and Donut Lasaravic, new leaderboards and a new map all FREEEEEE. I would have gladly paid for a new map, so all of this free stuff is just bananas. I'm loving it!

The new map, Fortress, is based on the first few bits of Uncharted Drakes Fortune. It's cool seeing it rendered in fancy pants U2 graphics.
