Wow it's going to be a great weekend at the Personal Computer Museum (http://www.pcmuseum.ca). Not only can you safely recycle your old electronics (computers, video games, monitors ($2 fee per CRT), printers, scanners, etc) but you can BUY things like over 1,000 video games (newer AND vintage) and some pretty cool old computers. Want a Commodore 128 in the box? Have it. Looking for a C64? You can take one home. Check out LOSTMITTEN (hot seller on Etsy) who makes cool vintage Nintendo items like keychains and coasters and other cool things out of beads. If all this gaming nirvana wasn't enough, the whole thing in couched in a Star Wars theme. That's right. Troopers and bad guys everywhere, in full costume as the 501st Fan club comes out in their evil goodness. Our just watch Empire Strikes back on our 122" screen with the most comfortable theater chairs you have EVER sat in.

13 Alma Street in Brantford (only 1 hour away from Toronto, it's an EASY drive!) on Saturday, May 23rd from 10am to 4pm. FREE ADMISSION. BBQ, free balloons for kids and a traditional garage sale for those that into the geekier stuff! Don't miss it.

Hey Syd! Thanks for the event heads-up.

Everyone - Syd's got stories you wouldn't believe.

Syd - what's the cost for disposing of old LCD monitors?

Recycling is FREE except for CRT monitors for which there is a $2 fee. So LCD monitors = FREE!

I assume you mean the 23rd?  Man, I am so tempted...  But I can't hack it.  :(
