You can get Impossible Mission for the DS.  It's awesome.

Seriously?
Hadn't heard that.  May just have to get it and PLAY a while... (see what I did there?)

There was a game called Mindwalker for the Amiga.

THAT was a strange, yet cool game.

Hadn't thought of this game in years but it just popped into my head: Mail Order Monsters.  I was totally terribly at this game but I'd kill to play it again.  I just googled it to see if someone might have remade it, or made flash version or something, but no dice.  Also, on my first attempt I mistakenly googled Male Order Monsters, where I was met with content... different than expected.

I don't understand the missing of classic games because I still have every console I've ever owned hooked up to my television. You can't miss what never left :)

I LOVE Bubble Bobble, and Impossible Mission...  And Elevator Action is one of my faves for sure.

And Shaun, how many inputs does your TV have anyway?  :P
Do you have Virtual Boy?  I can't recall. I recently played through Wario Land and it was loads of fun. Red pain and all!

Thanks to the magic of switch boxes, my television has 4 component inputs and 5 S-Video inputs. And then there is the unlimited amount afforded by endlessly chaining RF switches into each other for a warm, fuzzy, retro feel.

@touchyoulast I vaguely remember Mail Order Monsters, but didn't play it much at all.  My best friend had a C64 (then C128!) and I just went over to get in all the playing I could, but there's definitely stuff I know I missed out on.

@ploot Elevator Action is one of my all-time favourite arcade games. I picked up a combo PS2 game disc not long ago JUST for that game, and don't regret it for a moment.

I actually really enjoyed spyhunter on ps2/xbox. The car handled so incredibly nice, and the missions were layered without being ridiculous. I must have played the original in the arcade a thousand times over just because it let me sit inside a car and played that awesome music.
