I completely agree.  Some of the weapons in Ninja Blade are non-standard and yet very awesome.

Speaking of ninjas - I recently started to make my way through Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Didn't play NG on the X-Box nor did I try the "Black" version on the PS2. I think I was scared away by it's reputation as a exceedingly difficult game.

When a very ninja enthusiastic friend gifted it to me for my most recent birthday, I played around a bit but mostly sat on it for several months. After playing a few RPGS and strategy games in a row , I had an itch for more action based gameplay and NG fits the bill perfectly. It certainly is a difficult game but I find myself attracted to it's challenges and wanting to improve my ninjaness.

One should never be discouraged by the difficulty of a game.  Difficulty is just a unit of time.  :)

You're right, it took a bit of time, but now I've fully embraced the path of the ninja.

And for that you will die.

Please note you should sleep with one eye open from now on.

Oh yes, and extra thick pants.

Jorge: no ninja threats on the forum, please! Leave that to Twitter.

Rey-O - I love Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox - but yeah it's painfully difficult.

I've been playing Red Faction Guerilla quite a bit.
Yesterday I got BlazBlue Calamity Trigger, and played a bit of Ragna's story.
I can't wait for tomorrow's release of Battlefield 1943.
I was also playing Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland on my DSi. I had to import it obviously. It's a wierd game, like really wierd, but that's what happens when Tingle stars in a game.

It would definitely be interesting to read the opinion on MGS4 of someone that has played it when there is no hype surrounding it.

I've never played any of the MGS games ( a personal failing of mine, I know), but I love them all the same. They have to be one of the few games that are equally entertaining to simply view as a spectator rather than a player. I've basically sat with my brother every time he's had a MGS play session just to see what crazy stuff would happen next. My friend also has stories of his whole family watching him go through MGS4, even crying out in unison, "Snake? Snake! SNAAAAKE!!!!" everytime he died, haha.

It certainly has it's problems but there's a certain appeal to it's extravagance and idiosyncrasies.

As far as what I'm playing, I'm playing on my cd player my sweet new Street Fighter IV soundtrack. It came in the mail earlier this week and I've been listening to it quite regularly, thanks Shaun!

Game wise, I'm still going through Infamous. I'm still in the second island, just going through the game slowly at my own pace. I think I'd get really annoyed with the sameness of the side missions if I powered through this game in a weekend. It might be time for me to get a new DS game pretty soon, thinking about a Dragon Quest (never played any of those) or Rhythm Heaven.

The other day I picked up a full set, used, of Buzz! Quiz TV for the PS3 for only $20!

Buzz had flown under my radar in the PS2 days, it seemed like light weight, casual fare. I took notice of it recently when Alex Ward (he of Burnout fame) twittered regularly about playing the PS3 edition.

Now that I've tried it, I take back my previously negative presumptions about Buzz. It certainly is a more casual experience, but there's an unexpected level of depth to the game that took me by surprise. With 5000+ questions, plus more with add ons, various modes, online play and a seemingly endless well of user generated quiz questions, Buzz is going to be getting regular play for quite some time.

I can see why Ward is a big fan, both Burnout Paradise and Buzz feature a tightly integrated online experience based around community and longevity.

I just tried the demo for Mirror's Edge.  I'm going to see if it goes for $10 this month at EB.  If not, I'll grab it after.

I'm drooling over the prospect of The Watchmen Experience.

Mirror's Edge was worth the full price to me. I played the whole game without shooting once, and it was so satisfying.
However, I know of people that just couldn't get into the type of game it is.

Playing Battlefield 1943 (PS3).
