Seriously, thank you, TT, for making my day a jillion times better. That trailer was freakin' amazing. (ZOMG DID U SEE WEHN OPTIMUS TRANSFORMED TO BLOK TEH MISSSLE!!!1!)

So... is this supposed to be a Gears of War-type game, or X-COM-ish (hah! that'd make my decade), or...?

It looks a bit like it'll be a Gear of War style of game. But yeah, I'm super stoked about it as well. Dude, Omega Supreme!

Man I love that voice actor for Prime.

My guess is it's going for a bit of a Gear's flair, but I wonder how the stop and pop cover shooting mechanic will work in conjunction with gigantic transforming robots?

Seeing Omega Supreme and the Dinosaur dude was a blast - I actually have toys of both! Omega was my guy and my bro had the Dinosaur, oh the battles we waged, they were legend!

I have Omega Supreme but never got Trypticon. I do, however, have a few books that have lots of photos of all the toys.

Whoops I'm wrong - did a quick search and as it turns out, I didn't have Omega Supreme. So then I though oh I must have Fortress Maximus...double wrong! The big transforming base robot that I have is in fact, Metroplex: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroplex_(Transformers) . But my brother did have Trypticon. Amusingly, Wiki says that they've fought each other in the show, often using wrestling moves. nice.

The guy in the trailer is definitely Omega Supreme though. Omega Supreme. Sounds like an Arby's sandwich. Bacon Delux.
